Introduction
ICCSDLeaks.org is a philanthropically-funded all-volunteer organization that has no affiliation whatsoever with the Iowa City Community School District (ICCSD). Its primary purpose is to make school-district-related documents that belong to the public more visible than they would be otherwise. A secondary purpose is to allow members of the public to express themselves about school-district-related matters to a wider audience than they would otherwise have available to them. ICCSDLeaks would prefer that the public publish their articles, letters and opinions in the conventional print literature. However, ICCSDLeaks realizes that some media outlets in Iowa have an aversion to publishing unflattering material about school districts. If members of the public have had their articles, letters, or opinions rejected by one or more conventional media outlets, it is suggested that evidence for this be submitted to ICCSDLeaks for publication alongside the piece itself. ICCSDLeaks will never knowingly publish a stolen or counterfeit document. If a reader has reason to believe that a document published on the ICCSDLeaks site has been stolen or is counterfeit, he or she should submit evidence for this assertion via email to sendyourleaks@gmail.com and the document will be removed from the site immediately, pending an investigation into the veracity of the assertion. All material submitted to ICCSDLeaks will be maintained on a password protected encrypted server. The identities of private individuals submitting material to ICCSDLeaks will only be released if required by a court of law. In contrast, all communications to and from district officials and board members using their iccsd.k12.ia.us email addresses will be considered public and suitable for publication. Similarly, all communications to and from employees of media outlets will be considered suitable for publication if the correspondence occurred using their corporate email addresses. The opinions expressed on the ICCSDLeaks site are solely those of the individuals submitting the material whether the submitter chooses to reveal his or her identity publicly or not. ICCSDLeaks.org reserves the right to determine whether any document, article, comment or any other material submitted to sendyourleaks@gmail.com is suitable for posting on the site.
